Junior Professional Internship

Since 2009, Irish Aid in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has managed a Junior Professional Internship (JPI) Scheme.

The JPI Scheme aims to provide valuable experience in development cooperation (policy and practice) to highly professional and motivated individuals, who may seek a career in development cooperation and related sectors.

This scheme is intended for those who have at least two years or more experience after completing postgraduate studies at university or similar institutions, and have demonstrated a high level of commitment, motivation and interest in development cooperation or a related sector.

JPIs are assigned to the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Limerick, Dublin and in Missions overseas.
