The Irish Aid Volunteer Fair will take place in the Printworks in Dublin Castle on the 10th of October between 11-4pm.   This year’s theme is International Volunteering – Get Involved

There will be a panel discussion with speakers including Lisa McMahon who spent 15 months volunteering in Rwanda with VSO working as a Teaching Methodology Advisor; Sarah Burke from UCDVO, who is a physiotherapist, and volunteered in Uganda and India and Stephanie Egan from Global Schoolroom who is also a volunteer.

There will also be over thirty volunteer sending agencies with information stands at the fair, including short term Volunteering Sending Agencies such as Christina Noble Children’s Foundation, Global Health Forum, Nurture Africa and SERVE and long term sending agencies such as Goal, VSO Ireland, Peace Brigades International and Concern.    Comhlámh the returned volunteer sending agency will also be exhibiting along with Irish Aid.

A new addition to the volunteering fair this year is the Returned Volunteers Zone where visitors can hear first hand discussion from past volunteers about their experiences; as well as a speaker from the LinkedIn office here in Dublin giving a presentation.
