Follow-up and Review Framework

Follow Up and Review

While the agreement on the Sustainable Development Goals is not legally binding, each UN member state has committed to achieving them.

To measure progress towards achieving the Goals over the next 15 Years, the agreement includes text on Follow Up and Review arrangements. The follow-up and review processes are to be country-led and voluntary, with specific guidance for national, regional and global processes.

All Member States are encouraged to develop national responses to the Sustainable Development Agenda. At the global level, the UN High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development will have a central role in the process.
